Katrina Powell is the mom of two great kings and the grandmother to a wonderful princess. She co-authored the book, Confessions of a Welfare Mom, sharing her personal story about living in an urban community and being on public assistance. She was a member and treasurer of the SHADES SC which stands for Sisters. Helping. And. Delivering. Empowerment. Socially. She was also a part of the mentor program through Forever Girls. Katrina is also a part of the WE ARE ONE community organization, that goes into the community and assist those with clothing and food. They also help people find the resources needed to resolve the circumstance they may be going through.

Katrina's heart is her best feature always ready to lend a hand. She is a poet, who writes just for the love of writing. She is bold, and outspoken, and enjoys being around her family, and friends, laughing, and making great memories.
